pet policy

We are so excited to host you and your furry friend(s)! To make sure everyone has a safe and peaceful stay, we ask that you read through and agree to our pet policy ahead of your visit.

Pet-Friendly Units

We welcome pets in Motel Suites #1-7, as well as the Gull Cabin (#16).

Pet Fee

$20 per dog per night (two dogs max).

Holler if you have questions!

We’re happy to make recommendations about local boarders, pet-friendly hikes, and other tips!

Pets we welcome

In pet-friendly units only, we welcome well-mannered dogs traveling with their recognized owners (currently, cats, birds, and other animals are not permitted except with special permission).

We reserve the right to require immediate removal of any pet that displays dangerous, disruptive, or unacceptable behavior, including but not limited to aggression, biting, excessive noise (such as barking or crying), and evidence of disease, as well as guests who fail to follow policies including but not limited to leashing and waste removal. Each guest is responsible for all charges that relate to the removal of a disruptive pet, including but not limited to transportation, kennel charges, and non-refunded nights if a guest chooses to leave with their pet after an incident.

PET RULES

  • Two dogs maximum per unit unless approved by our staff ahead of time.

  • Pets must be leashed or contained in a carrier at all times while they’re outside your room in order to prevent disturbances or dangerous run-ins with wildlife, neighbors, or other guests and their pets. Please stick to communal areas, sidewalks, and driveways during walks.

  • Don’t bring pets into another guest room.

  • Dogs must be treated for fleas and ticks with veterinary-approved preventatives, and up-to-date on all appropriate vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP/DHPP, and Bordetella.

  • Please check your dog for ticks every time they re-enter your room! They’re common in our area and present health risks to humans and pets alike.

  • Pet waste must be bagged and thrown into our dumpster. You can find baggie stations mounted around the property.

  • Dogs must be fully housebroken, with no recent history of accidents.

  • Please keep dogs off furniture, including sofas, chairs, and beds.

  • Do not leave dogs unattended for extended periods, and ensure they don’t bark or cry excessively. If your pup tends to be loud, please leave them at home–it’s a balancing act to make sure everyone has a happy, relaxing vacation. After three noise complaints, we will request you find alternative arrangements.

  • Guests must disclose each pet in attendance in advance of the stay.

  • We have a zero-tolerance policy for pet aggression or disturbances. To ensure everyone has a safe, peaceful stay, dogs that are aggressive, unpredictable, may have a propensity for violence, or otherwise behaviorally problematic are never allowed on the premises. Guests may not bring any such dog onto the premises at any time. Guests with pets that disturb other guests, guest pets, employees, vendors, or wildlife will be asked to find alternative boarding and/or leave the property early with no refund.

We welcome service animals in accordance with the ADA (under which, a service animal is a dog that has been individually trained to perform tasks or do work for a person with a disability; tasks must be directly related to the person's disability). We do not charge pet fees or deposits for service animals. While not required, we appreciate advance notice if you’re traveling with an approved service animal. If it’s not readily apparent, we may ask if the service animal required because of a disability, and what work or task has the animal been trained to perform. Service animals must be housebroken, under the handler's control at all times (leash, harness, tether, or voice/signal control), and up-to-date on rabies vaccination as required by state law. While service animals are not subject to pet fees, guests are responsible for any damage caused by their service animal beyond normal wear and tear, consistent with our standard damage policy that applies to all guests.

ESAs: Animals that provide emotional support, comfort, therapy, companionship, or crime deterrent effects are not considered service animals under the ADA. These animals are treated as pets and are subject to all pet policies, fees, and restrictions, including our requirement that pets be approved in advance and stay only in designated pet-friendly cabins.

DISCLOSURE & FEES

  • Undisclosed pets are subject to an immediate $250 charge to the guest’s card on file (plus the standard pet fee).

  • It’s your responsibility to ensure you reserve a pet-friendly at the time of booking. Discovery of a pet in a non-pet-friendly room (or in another room without approval) will result in a charge to the card on file to cover the cost of additional cleaning.

  • Damages and messes: Pet-related messes or damages to guest rooms, furnishings, or the property are the guest’s sole responsibility. Damage or excess cleaning fees are used to compensate our cleaning crews and replace damaged items directly. Inspections will be completed upon check-out; charge amounts vary by situation, but in general, you can expect:

  • Pet waste stains or pet waste left in the room or outside: $100-$250

  • Excessive cleaning (fur on furniture/failure to use pet blankets, etc): $50-$100

  • Damage to furniture or property, pest fumigation, business interruptions, etc: Dependent on the cost of repairs, replacement, or lost rental income if the unit requires extended remediation.
